Digital X-Rays

The two images of the patient above are identical.  The one on the left is the original image and the one on the right has been enhanced. With digital radiography, we are able to take an image and zoom in, make it lighter or darker and add measurements. This allows us to see things that we might not be able to see on a conventional x-ray film.  Instead of having to wait to develop the x-ray, it is on the screen within 30 seconds!  With digital x-ray technology, we can take x-rays with less radiation dose to the patient. Finally, we can also put your x-rays onto a USB drive so you can have a copy for your records and can take them to other healthcare providers if needed.
